Confidentality and limits
We understand that your health information is highly sensitive. Anything you share will be kept confidential. There are a few situations where we may be required to share information;

If I am required to make a mandatory report (for example, a child is at risk, elderly abuse, sexual abuse by a healthcare professional)

Storage and security
Your personal and health information is securely stored using trusted digital platforms, including Jane App for clinical records and appointment management, and Gmail for communication purposes. These systems incorporate industry-standard security measures such as encryption and secure data storage.

Access to your information is restricted through password-protected devices and accounts, and reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards are in place to prevent unauthorized access, loss, or misuse of your data. While every effort is made to ensure the security of your information, no electronic system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
Record retention
Your therapy records are retained for a minimum of 10 years following your final session, or for 10 years after a minor reaches the age of 18, whichever period is longer, in accordance with professional requirements as stated by the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario.
Childrens privacy
Our services are not intended for individuals under the age of 18. At this time, we are supporting individuals 18 and older.
